Research
In 2005, over $1 billion in federal funding spread over 11 federal agencies were made available for nanotechnology research. In 2006, $1.05 billion is budgeted for nanotechnology research.
One of ONI's primary goals is to bring more available research dollars to Oklahoma. Currently, Oklahoma currently has over 50 scientists who are doing research in the nanotech field.
